Steak Pie
Slow-cooked steak in rich gravy under golden puff pastry, with creamy mash and seasonal veg.
A modern Indian kitchen in the heart of Barrhead — spice ground in-house, tandoor fired daily, and a welcome that lives up to the name.

Celebrate Christmas Day with us — a special festive menu, the full Swagath welcome, and no washing up. Tables are limited, so book early.
Book nowSwagath has been part of Barrhead since 2019. We started on Dovecothall Street and have grown into our new home on Glasgow Road — the old Jean Gebbies building, given a fresh life.
We keep things honest: whole spices toasted and ground in our own kitchen, marinades left overnight, and a tandoor that does the heavy lifting on breads, kebabs and tikka.
From a quick midweek curry to a long table with family, the aim is the same one our name promises: that you feel genuinely welcome the moment you walk in.

Our goal is simple — to bring proper Indian cooking to Barrhead in a room that feels easy to be in.
That means classics done right, and having a little fun too — like our Scotland-meets-India signature cocktails.
No shortcuts, no gimmicks — just real food, made with care, and served like you are family. Swagath.
Fancy something a little different? Our sister café Fàilte brings hearty Scottish and café favourites — and a selection is now on the Swagath menu too. Here are just a few of them.

Slow-cooked steak in rich gravy under golden puff pastry, with creamy mash and seasonal veg.

Lightly battered chicken tempura with a sweet chilli dip and dressed leaves.

Golden breaded chicken escalope with chunky chips and a fresh salad.

Beer-battered fish with chunky chips, mushy peas and tartare sauce.
Just a taste — there’s plenty more on the full Fàilte menu.

From birthdays and anniversaries to christenings and work dinners, our private function hall seats up to 35 guests — with bespoke set menus and the same warm Swagath welcome.
To avoid disappointment we recommend booking ahead — especially at weekends. Reserve online or give us a call, and walk-ins are always welcome subject to availability.
